Adgz 11.27.04

agnz2.jpg

Adgz is a beautiful Berber town that still has living inhabitants. It is in this valley of mountains called the Dades Gorge. A river runs along the bottom of the valley feeding the town with lush gardens and many trees to shade the hot sun in the summer. My guide is showing me one of the tiny courtyards open to the sun above. Sun rarely reaches the bottom of these courtyards for they are narrow and tall.

"The room is the beginning of architecture. It is the place of the mind. You in the room with its dimensions, its structure, its light respond to its character, its spiritual aura, recognizing, that whatever the human proposes and makes, becomes a life."
